Vantique MEXICAN SKULL RING

2004年に生まれた、ビンテージをメインテーマにしたハンドメイドアクセサリーVantique （ヴァンティーク）。
ブランド名は（Verse + Antique 詩的要素を持つアンティーク）より由来しています。
「メッセージ性を持つジュエリーをお守り的に愛用したい。」 そんな想いから生まれたジュエリー。
シルバー925やK10ゴールド、真鍮などをビンテージ仕上げで創作します。
メキシコのリゾート地で土産物として販売されていた歴史のあるメキシカンリング。
1950年代に入るとアメリカでも大流行しました。 現在はヴィンテージ市場でも希少性が高く、コレクターズアイテムとして価格も高騰し続けています。
トップのモチーフも多種存在し、トップやサイドのモチーフの組み合わせによる種類は数百種類以上とも言われます。
また、その見た目から通称「喧嘩リング」とも呼ばれます。
人間の頭蓋骨と交差した2本の大腿骨からなる死の象徴、クロスボーンスカル。
旧来より欧米では海賊旗(ジョリーロジャー)のデザインとして有名であり、ナチス・ドイツの親衛隊の紋章や、アメリカの秘密結社のエンブレムにも使用されます。
クロスボーンには「頭蓋骨と2本の骨さえあれば人は復活できる」という意味も込められます。
サイドにクロスをあしらったメキシカンリングを思わせるシルバー925リングに、ブラス製クロスボーンスカルを合わせたリングです。
クロスボーンスカルは50年代テイストを意識しています。
メキシカンスカルのようなファニーな表情が愛らしいです。
ヴィンテージ感漂う雰囲気は男っぽくもあり、非常に着けやすいリングです。
シルバーとブラスのコンビカラーが映えます。
